And Some Women Think Lifting Will Make Them “Bulky!”

Since everyone seems to love before and after shots, I thought I’d share my own with you all today. While in the process of packing for my upcoming cruise, I’ve been going through my summer clothes. Needless to say, I was a bit astonished that absolutely none of my shorts fit; they literally are all falling off of me now! So I took some pictures of myself in an outfit that I wore while I was on my last cruise, so I could juxtapose them side by side for you all to see the difference. (P.S. Please ignore the bad hair and whatnot— I took these pictures post-workout!) The crazy part? I weigh almost exactly the same as I did back then (stop living and dying by the scale, people, it is just a number!), only my body composition is completely different now— lower body fat percentage, and much more muscle. So to all the women out there who mistakenly believe that lifting weights and building muscle will make you “bulky,” this is proof that is not the case in the slightest! I have always been into health, fitness, and running my entire life, but it wasn’t until I started lifting weights and eating clean that I saw results like this! It looks like I’ll be shopping for some new clothes in the near future!
